Pixel 4a Android 11 Sunfish custom build no valid slot to boot error

fastboot_ error_ failed to identify current slot   Dan fastboot change slot

In boota get fastboot lock status error c:1341: ERROR: Error verifying slot _a with result ERROR_INVALID_METADATA

By default, fastboot flashes the current slot on an AB device If the update package also contains images for the other, non-current slot, i've tried to fix it with the rescue and smart assistant but it keeps failing, i also tried flashing it with fastboot but i get the message
